About this blog
Welcome to Matt Rarely Writes
A blog about this and that, from someone who enjoys writing but doesn't do nearly enough of it.
I don't really consider myself an author, just someone with the occasional thing worth saying. Expect a mix: software development and AI, TV shows I've enjoyed (or haven't), books, basketball, and updates on life in general.
New posts appear when inspiration strikes, so if you'd like to know when that happens, you can get new posts by email (don't worry, there won't be many), or follow along by RSS or on Bluesky.

You can find me on Bluesky and LinkedIn.
Other ways to help
If you’d like to support the blog directly, the Support me button in the corner lets you buy me a coffee on Ko-fi. Thank you!
And if you were going to try Kindle+, Audible or Amazon Music Unlimited anyway, signing up from one of these links helps too, as Amazon pays me a fixed fee for each sign-up:
- Kindle+ (opens in a new tab): ebooks, with some audiobooks and magazines, free for 30 days.
- Audible (opens in a new tab): an audiobook a month, with an offer for new members.
- Amazon Music Unlimited (opens in a new tab): ad-free music, including every new release.
All three become paid monthly subscriptions when the trial or offer ends, unless you cancel, and Amazon only offers them if you haven’t had one in the last year. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
